Got code p0688 from odometer test. Says ecm/pcm power relay sensor open circuit. How do I repair it, I dont know where to start looking. Thanks k

YMPTOM
P0688-ASD RELAY SENSE CIRCUIT LOW

WHEN MONITORED
With ignition key on. Battery voltage greater than 10 volts.

SET CONDITION
No voltage sensed at the PCM when the ASD relay is energized. One Trip Fault.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
Intermittent condition
ASD relay
Fused B+ circuit
ASD relay output circuit open (no start)
IPM fuse & relay center
ASD relay output circuit open
PCM start
PCM

I have a no start or spark. Should I swith relay with a like one to see if still same condition. Whats the fused b+ circuit. Where to start

Check all fuses with a test light first. The asd relay may be the issue but it controls both spark and fuel controls. Try one and see but switching usually does not work.

I switched relay with wiper relay and after few tries it started, I everything works but dont know if intermitton. Dont want to take my trip to school (35 miles away ) and have do again. Should I leave it for the day and when I get back take for a ride in my neighborhood. Should I keep looking for problem

You will most likely need a shop to check on a scanner to look at these actions. Not something you can check at home unless you have a scan tool.

I have an obd2 scan tool is that what you mean, shows no codes found but doing odometer test I got the po688 code

Does it give you info on the bcm controls?

No just reads obd2 codes. No codes found. Been starting every 15 minutes and starts up. Odometer test still gives the po688 code.I want to try and get under fuse bloch to check wires but now I guess theres gona be snow again here in south eastern ma.
