2005 Chrysler Crossfire Driving Traffic Today Battery Charging Lite Came On

I was driving in traffic today and my battery charging lite came on. The level on the light looks "half way" compared to the picture in the manual that has no "level" indication. I looked the problem up in the manual, but I'm a little confused. I dont know what to think. What does this mean?

Not sure where the reference to "level" comes in but the warning light means the alternator isn't working. Have the charging system checked.
