recently i replaced a bad factory seat belt with an after market one on a 2005 chevy trailblazer .
the factory belt would not release and in what may have been a misguided attempt to save a few bucks, i ordered a 3 point belt online and installed it after taking the original one out.
now that i have unplugged the wiring to the old belt, the light on the dash stays on and the air bag on the passenger side says it is off.
how can i fix this to turn the air bag on and the dash indicator off.

The seat belt system is monitored as part of the airbag system. You have to put the OEM system back in to get that light off.
