2005 chevy trailblazer, with 4.2 I 6, acts like it has a misfire, when it shifts into OD and TC locks up, feels like it can't decide whether ot not to stay locked up, vibrates and tach oscillates 200-300 rpm

That may be an indication of a bad TCC solenoid. You really should get it diagnosed properly at a transmission shop.

Can you tell me a little about the repair, what does it involve, I have scanned it with my Snap On moduis scan tool and there are no codes in the engine or transmission?
