2005 Chevrolet Suburban Having Trouble Removing Axels Suburban Already Removed

Having trouble removing the axels from my 2005 suburban. Already removed the pin in the differential. However the axel won't push over enough to release the c-clips, do I need to remove the spider gears?

try giving a tap on axle with a hammer it may be stuck. you sholdn't have to take spiders out
