2005 SILVERADO 5.3 FLEX FUEL AT START UP OIL PRESSURE STAYES AT 38 AND WILL NOT MOVE UNTIL TRUCK IS TO TEMP. THEN I GET A WHAT SOUNDS LIKE A LIFTER TICKING FOR A FEW MINUTES THEN GOES AWAY.
THE PRESSURE WILL NOT MOVE AT ANY RPM WHEN ITS COLD AND ALSO SOUNDS LIKE A DRY START THE FIRST FEW SECONDS

what does a dry start sound like? knocking noises? only when it's cold? or cold out? you should get an 'actual' oil pressure test. also these vehicles are known to have gauge problems. all the gauges in fact.
