2005 Chevrolet Silverado heater hoses

How do I remove the heater hoses on this truck? It has some sort of plastic fitting on one end of them.

There is a heater hose release tool that snaps on and you pull it into the end of the hose while pushing the tool into the end of the hose.While pushing the hose further on then pulling the hose off.They should have the tool at the auto parts store.
