2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Just Driving Along Message Center Brake Fluid Low

Just driving along my message center said brake fluid low and my trac light came on. Brake fluid was not low. replaced sensor on brake fluid resivoir, same problem. can you suggest solution?
