I have a 2005 monte carlo as soon as I start the car a msg tells me "engine hot turn off AC and soon after the check engine light comes on. I engine isn;t hot. I'm thinking maybe a sensor?

Have the computer scanned to identify which sensor it is. Chances are the temp sending unit is bad or shorted. Most parts stores will scan them for free. Also, make sure the coolant is full.

Let me know what you find.

Well I don't understand it but what I did was reset all the main fuses in the fuse box under the hood last thursday, and the error went away and everthing has been running great since.

That is interesting. If it happens again, reset one at a time. You may have a bad one that will cause it again. That way you'll know which one is the problem.

That is the cheapest fix you can get (lol). Take care and let me know if something changes.
