I think my fuel pump has went bad in my 2005 chevrolet classic. Is there any way to access the fuel pump without dropping the gas tank

I have checked the fuse that goes to th fuel pump. I have also checked to see if when I turn the key on to hear if the fuel pump is engaging and it is not humming. When I crank it acts like it is not getting fuel.
