Long Distance Driving Wear on Car?

I have a 2005 Malibu Maxx in good condition, less than 40,000 miles and new tires. Thinking about driving home for the holidays (15 hour drive, 900 miles, mainly highway). How much wear and tear will that put on the car? Is it better to fly paying more $$ in lieu of putting extra wear on the car or do you think the wear on the car would be negligible?

That is a tough one for me to answer. Me, I would drive. Highway miles won't hurt the car. Actually, it is good for it. Just make sure all fluids are clean and full. You may want to have brakes checked, but other than that, the car has low miles and should have no problems (if it has been maintained)
