what does the top control module do on a 2005 corvette convertible. I have the pump and motor replaced for the top and it still does not open or close properly all the time. Could it be the control module?

Instead of replacing parts hoping for a fix car has self-diagnostic capabilities have scan done to find fault

The pump checke bad by the dealer running a dianostic test. But is acting just liked the old pump. That is why I was asking about the function of the top control module.
