2005 Chevrolet Cobalt Engine Shutting Down Reason Had Checked Coil Pack Now

the engine is shutting down for some reason, i have had it checked and it is not the coil pack and now they say its the cam shaft position sensor but i cant find it on this endine, 2.2 ecotech.

Is the check engine light on? Did they get a trouble code for the sensor or are they guessing? Has fuel pump pressure been tested?
