2005 Chevrolet Cobalt Engine Light Remains On Codes That Came Show TCM

My engine light remains on. Codes that came up show TCM problem and Speed Sensor failure. My speedometer does not work either; so could this be the outgoing speed sensor or both incoming and outgoing speed sensor?

Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) At rear of engine, on top of transmission.
