2005 Chevrolet Blazer Trucks Rpm S 3 Shifts Time Get 55 S Jurking Down Past

My trucks rpm's go up to 3 when it shifts not all the time. Then when I get to 55 it's like it is jurking and then the rpm's go up and down never go past 2rpms. What would this be?

check trans fluid first to make sure it is full when hot. then have a trans guy scan it for codes it may be electrical or trans is starting to fail.
