2005 CTS. Loss of oil. No leaks noted. Doesn't seem to be burning oil.

1 quart in 2000 miles is acceptable. What you need to do to determine if the consumption is unacceptable, is a simple test. Fill the crankcase to a known value, the top of the crosshatch on the stick is easiest. Since you have no oil level monitor, you need to check it after an interval of say 1000 miles or so, and determine it's rate of usage. There will be some usage, and driving habits can dictate the amount. There are some cases of excessive consumption that dictate the possibility of addressing, and you can determine that by a consumption test.
