Rear end problems 2005 Buick rendeoux

Hesitates periodically, yesterday did it and clunked, sounded like it was from the rearend. Could it be the rear end or the transmission?

It cold be anyo f those although unless it is awd there is only a bar going accross. Have a pro look at it and explain when it happens. It could be a broken motor or trans mount.
