Car overheats?

I just did tune up on car because wires were rusty. I changed thermostat and water pump but this is what my radiator cap looks like looks like mud but do not see any in radiator when we look.

Check coolant system for a blown head gasket make sure radiator is full with coolant when you do this. Auto parts rent tester or you can purchase a chemical at auto parts that does the same. See link.
