2005 Buick La Crosse Power steering cooling line

Our power steering return line hose broke so we have taken it out. We now face the problem of putting a new one back in. The process has been a headache and getting through the engine and back up through it has been nearly impossible. We do not know how to replace the new one. Any help on trying to get it back in? Please!

see pics , the one is of a 3.8L but yours is similar. I think this is the correct line you are talking about.
