My car hesitates, I have had the EGR valve replaced. I have had the fuel filter replaced.
I have had a tune up. Tjhe fuel pressure was checked and varied somewhat. Car hesitates at about 50 to 58 MPH then smoothes out for awhile, but subtle hesitation stays. When I am going up a hill I have to depress the accellerator hard to get the car to not lose speed.

During the first forty seven thousand miles the Fuel Pressure Regularor Gauge was replaced 5 times. At those times the only thing I noticed was wherring noise coming from the engine compartment.

Should I replace this gauge now ? I have 140,000 miles on this car. It has always got between 30 and 33 mpg but now is 25 to 28 mpg.
thanks
