How do I remove the cams on a 2005 bmw 325i? Then, how do I set the timing once I reinstall the head? Does it take a special tool? Which tool?

It does indeed require special tools. The best plan is to invest in a repair manual, Robert Bentley has the best on the market, Amazon.com will ship it to you. This is a involved project, let me just toss it back to you and say maybe this one is best left to someone that has the tools and experience on this motor to get it done. If you do decide to tackle this one, I will be glad to help if I can, good luck and let me know what you decide.

Happy new year, just revisiting some old posts, did the car get back together?
