I have a loud engine knock, could it be anything other than a spun bearing?

The other night I went out and started my TL to drive to dinner and the engine made a horrible knocking sound and then cut out. Could this be anything other than a spun bearing. It seemed to come out of no where. I'm trying to get any idea on what it could be before I have it towed to a shop.

Broken flex plate, backed-out torque converter bolt, broken timing belt idler pulley bolt, broken balance shaft chain guide bolt.
