my car will crank up but wont go into any gear. the Vsa light came on prior to this. Once I parked the vehicle I couldnt move it. What does VSA mean?

Vehicle Stability Assist. This would come up if there are problems with the engine control as well.

Have you checked the transmission fluid level?
Get a scan done to check for trouble codes.
