Lights went dim and then car stopped running. Replace the battery. It ran fine for 1 week then the same thing happened, it just died. The battery and the alternator tested fine. The car is still dead and will not even turn over. What could be wrong?

Hello,

It sounds like you could have a parasitic draw on the battery, which makes it to loose charge over time and not start the engine.
A parasitic draw happens when there is excess amperage drain on the battery. It could be due to a light staying on (like a glove box or trunk light), or could be for a faulty electrical equipment, like a shorted window switch etc.

You can check to see if your vehicle has excess drain on the battery. You will need a multimeter to perform the test.
