how much tranny fluid do u need to add when u service the tranny?

I hope you haven't drained it yet because there is no way to add to that car.

Standard or auto?

I thought you guys use Mitchell to look up your answers... from what I see, it shows a listing for both standard and auto.

It appears the Beetle with the 4sp auto can be topped off however many late model VWs cannot. The manual says start with 3 liters, than shift through the gears and check the level.
