Hi i have a 2004 corsa 1.4 twinport sri an when i am drivin it has a tappin noise coming from the engine, can you give me any information on what it could be please?

Can you tell if the noise is constant with engine speed or slower, and can you hear the noise in the top of the engine, lastly is it a hollow or solid sound, all this can help identify the probabal problem
