2004 Toyota Pickup Speedometer and clock issues

2004 TOYOTA PICKUP
123,000 MILES • 4.2L • V6 • 4WD • AUTOMATIC

When driving at any speed, the speedometer mileage numbers start running backwards and the on board clock doesn't keep proper time.
The last thing that was done to the truck was replacing the steering wheel air bag and ever since these issues
started.
Any help would be most appreciated.

scan for codes first as it may be something there otherwise it sounds like the dash may be bad.
