I went to a Toyota Dealer for the airbag recall! Two days later the engine was noisy upon checking the oil I discovered it was dry! I refilled it 10W30 not 5W/30 as called for, to a approx quart over full and took it back to the dealer he called and stated that I had spilled oil all over the front of the engine and that they had drained out 9.5 quarts! I told him that it was Impossible! And I doubted if the engine would even run with that much oil in it! My question is what would happen if it had that much oil 9.5 Quarts and was driven the 12 Miles to the Dealer? The oil leak turned out to be the Pressure sensor it was knocked by them and was leaking a lot!I am a Certified Aircraft Mechanic so I can be trusted to put oil in a Car!
Thanks
Joe

With that much oil in the sump I doubt that it would even turn over let alone run, but if it did run it would blow out the front and rear engine seals, but as I said I doubt that it would even turn over.
