After taking a while to warm up the car eventually blows warm air then after a while starts blowing cool air even though controls have not been altered, sometimes this happens quite quickly and sometimes after 20 to 30 mins, any ideas why

Check the coolant level and thermostat. If thermostat is stuck open, it would take a longer time than normal to warm up to operating temperature and temperature might register lower when vehicle is moving.
