2004 Saturn Vue Had Knock Engine Since August Premium Gas Minimized Until

I have had a knock in the engine since august. Premium gas has minimized the knock until recently. My engine is shot. Oil isnt pumping to the heads. Dealer confirmed severe upper engine damage. I have always changed the oil between 3 and 5 K. I dont get it.
Do you know of any recalls related to this 2.2 liter 4 cly engine? I had heard that there is a silent recall for this issue but cant confirm it.

Havent heard of any so why did the dealer say oil wasnt pumping to the top end?Those are good engines though.
