Radio is locked

I changed the battery and when I got back in the car it asked me for a code then locked out. I had it to a dealership they said the would be able to unlock it. They couldn't so I called saturn they told me to go to a different dealership. How isn't there just a code I could type in? I looked online and I found something saying that if I turn the ignition to on then hold 2and3 down it will give me a code. It did 5556. But it never told me what to do after that

The code you got is the code you put in when the dealer calls a radio unlock hotline they are asked to put in there retailer code.Then asked for there radio unlock code which you already got.Then the radio unlock code is given which will unlock your radio. I no longer have a retailer code to use ti get radio unlock codes since all the saturn dealers i work at are now closed.You are going to have to contact a gm dealer and have them get you the radio unlock code for your radio.

my code I recieved off pressing 1 and 2 was 1662.

Chris Nisbet, could you please use the link below and ask this as a new question. GM has a couple ways to unlock these radios depending on the exact year and which radio you have. Thank you.
