My battery in my 2004 4-cylinder, 5-speed, Saturn Vue seems to be dead. I left the keys in my vehicle with the ignition turned to the on position for several hours. I tried to jump it three times and can't get the car to turn over and start. Do I need to buys a new battery or could it be my alternator? The battery is the original that came with the car.

you need a new battery. draining it down that far probably caused the battery to completely die due to age of batery and the strain of dieing it down so low and then jumping it with high voltage to get it to start again. that really stresses a battery
