saab whining noise

changed the water pump and now have a whining noise that changes with rpm. also fuel mileage has decreased slightly

U WILL NEED TO RESET ENGINE TIMING CHAIN & BALANCE SHAFT CHAIN ,TO CORRECT ISSUE ,NOTE IF U DONT U WILL LOSE YOUR ENGINE CHAIN WILL BREAK IF U R LUCK ONLY THE BALANCE SHAFT CHAIN & YOUR ENGINE WILL START TO OVERHEAT BUT U WILL GET A WARNING CHIME SOUND BEFORE ENGINE SHUT DOWN . GOOD LUCK.

I am having the same problem. Do you have an image that shows the two chains? I purchased a tool to hold the chain in alignment so during the changing of the pump. I thought this would keep this from happening.
