on start up whilst handbrake on it pulls

Renault scenic 2004. Then very little acceleration for bit then suddenly releases and goes? only from cold. start car, while handbrake on it pulls, release handbrake, try accelerate but moving slowly then it "seems to release and accelerates properly then no problem after that until starting from cold again

The hand brake is binding up either in the cables or the mechanism that operates the brake, this should be inspected by a qualified mechanic.
