Pulling away and it felt popped out of gear, lost all drive and mild grinding sound. I have been told it could be a possible snapped drive shaft or stripped spline which could lead to a gearbox replacement. Is this information correct? This only happened today and no previous sign of gearbox problem, there was no sign of anything wrong with the car whatsoever but now....it is a non-driver!!
Please help me,

Regards,
Noemi

yes that could hve happened, ther may have been a grease spot from a tear in the boot which is common if it's been hit or something got under there. It may have just broke at the joint instead of the gearbox
