When accelerating the engine seems to be cutting on petrol consumption, what could be the problem?

When accelerating the car seems to be cutting petrol and it moved very slow when the rave counter is on 50-60.

any warning lights on? is it stick or automatic?

its a manual 5 forward and no warning lights.

so when you accelerate to 5000/6000 rpm(tachometer) it seems to peak off and slow? that's awful high rpm to be using? engine is not designed to operate in that range.
