Last night it barely reached freezing temperatures.(Not sure if that pays any relevance to the story) This morning I warmed the car up the car, as Ieft the house I noticed the radio was switching on and off, finally it stayed off. Then Inoticed the car wasnt shifting gears. Next the blinker wasnt working and finally Inoticed the battery light was on. COULD THIS BE JUST THE BATTERY? OR IS IT THE TRANSMITION AS WELL?

It sounds like an issue with the battery or the alternator. Take the car to a parts store and have them load test the battery and check the alternator.

Let me know what they tell you.

The belt was missing. It must have fallen off at some point in time. We put a new one and charged the battery, it runs perfectly! Thanks for the help!

That would do it! The alt wasn't recharging the battery. Glad you got it going. Let us know if you have questions in the future.
