can I swap out ride leveling shocks with normal shocks

04 montana...rear leveling sensor quit, can I disconnect compressor, remove oil filled shocks and replace with regular gas shocks leveling arm rusted off, too expensive to replace whole sensor...$450

i'm not sure about those shocks whether they can be done or not. I think strutmasters have all or know of the replacement ones that you can use. You could always get a sensor from a junkyard if it works.i thinktheir website is www.strutmasters.com
