Hi, im going to get a 2004 grand prix but ive been told to not get the gt version because the blower motors go out every now and then. Is this true because i dont want to keep replacing a blower motor.

Blower motors commonly fail on any car. What you CAN expect is repeat generator failures. They develop huge voltage spikes due to their design. To reduce the number of repeat failures, replace the battery at the same time unless it is less than about two years old. As they age, they lose their ability to dampen and absorb those spikes.

I can think of a lot of reasons to avoid certain car brands but I never heard of anyone choosing one model over another based on a heater blower motor. You'll have a lot more to contend with when the various computers start to act up.
