Melted plastic smell

I keep smelling a melted plastic smell, but cannot find the cause. Have taken in to be looked at twice, but they could not find the issue. I can smell it mostly on the drivers side when I am outside of the car. Faint smell in the car, but mosstly smelled on the outside of the car. Car does not overheat...

In addition, turn signal will sometimes not work or stop working...no blinking lights inside or outside...

I am afraid my car is going to catch fire before I find the cause of the smell!
