has problems accelerating

if my Nissan titan truck has problems accelerating when going faster that 45 mph and the rpm maxs out at 3000 and then slowly looses power without heating up could that mean my fuel pump is going out?

truck does not heat up, when parked and flooring the gas the rpm jumps to 3000 then slowly looses power,

Do you have a check engine light and last tune-up

Yea the check engine light has been on but for other reasons .. The dealership told me was future attention for bad catalytic converters
