locating thermostat

How do I find my thermostat and locate it to replace?

If you follow the upper radiator hose to the engine, it will lead to the thermostat housing. Under the housing is the thermostat.

Had a feeling that was the location. do you know a time frame within the job? I am a mechanic this is my friends account just need an honest time to quote him. thanks
