What will make my 2004 Nissan max start and then die

When I crank it in the morning its ok but after it runs and I shut it off it wont start back unless I press the gas

Ok, I would look at the idle air control valve, it may be not working correctly for idling. It will not sustain an idle till you give it fuel.
