What makes my car die after I crank it

My 2004 nissan max 3.5 will crank but then dies what do I need to check or change

You need compression, fuel pressure and spark. Start with the basics first before throwing any parts at it.

When I crank it in the morning its ok but after it runs a few min
and I shut it off and try to crank it back I have to press the gas a little then it will crank

Ok, so now it runs. By crank, do you mean starts up?

Yes when I first crank it in the morning it runs fine but after it runs for a while and I shut it off it will not stay runing unless I press the gas when trying to start it back
