2004 Nissan Maxima 04 Fuel Gauge On Empty There Gas Car Could This Simple Fuse

I have a 04 nissan maxima and my fuel gauge says im on empty but there is gas in the car. Could this be a simple fuse or relay can anyone help me with this.
