Does the fan stop running or do you lose heat? Try to be as specific as possible.

It blows just fine while I'm driving but as soon as I step on the breaks it starts to blow cold air. I hate red lights & stop signs

Okay... the fan continues blowing, but it blows cold air rather than hot. Make sure the coolant level is full and let me know what you find. NOTE: When the engine is cold, check the level in the radiator and not only the overflow.
