the deams go out when I am driving or if I go for awhile and turn off the car and get back in they will not come back on. But I can hold the bright and deamer handle back and have bright light on and the inside lights never go off

Check head light switch and check the multi function switch

Sounds like the LCM. The relays in the LCM can be replace if you can, other wise check out refurb units
