2004 Mercedes Benz Sl600 Check Engine Light Came On Car Went Into Limp Mode

The check engine light came on and the car went into limp mode. they replaced the coolant pump, O2 sensors, and 2 sender units and catalytic converter and less than a week later it is acting the same way. Now I am told it is a different issue with the engine. Does this sound right?
