tire size problem?

My car uses Front tires 245/40 R18 and rear 265/35 R18, can I upgrade to Front 255/40 R18 and Rear 285/35 R18 with the same rims?? I am not sure If I have to buy another set of R18 rims because the new tires will be wider.

You cannot change tire size because the computer is referencing a particular size, if you change it the computer could throw a code.
