2004 Mercedes SL500: How do I remove the Fuel Tank? There is a baffle inside that has come loose and is making noise. I need to remove it and either get it fixed or replace it with a new one.

Hi Eagerquest - I have the same problem on my 2003 SL55 AMG, and contemplating doing the job myself - congrats for getting the tank out! Are there any special considerations/tools required please? I guess you need to remove the rear exhaust sections and drop the rear suspension/final/drive/subframe to get at the tank?

I'd really appreciate your help.

Cheers,
